Smoko time in our house is a big deal. And that is not discounting the importance of a big, healthy breakfast either.
So with a fridge full of eggs and a passionfruit vine laden with fruit, this cake looked the goods.
Especially when smoko for the day included not only 4 growing children and a hard-working Dad but 2 extra men calling in for a chat and some country hospitality.
Serves 12, great for feeding a crowd. Perfect!
It was delicious, so delicious that it was consumed in one sitting…….
Cooking today is a little less demanding as these 2 cherubs have gone on a flying visit to their Grandparents place. And with Dad away mustering, the 2 remaining school age children had to make do with Raisin Toast.
I’m feeling a little melancholy with these 2 away. Amazing how the family dynamic changes, it is almost quiet. The washing machine has had a small breather and we have half as many beds to make…

Can’t wait until Sunday and we will all be reunited!
