I’m writing this post with a little “jet lag” in my system. Brisbane, Beef 2012, Minischool followed by the local campdraft has meant restful days have been rare. Of course, now we are at home for at least 6 days straight, the pile of “work to catch up on” is huge.
It has been nice to step aside from that “pile” of things to do and download some photos from the week-end. Both Andrew & Lachlan rode in the Junior draft. As you can see, there was a lot of anticipation, planning and discussion occurring prior to their run.

We supplied the cattle for the Maiden Draft and also the Junior Draft. Lachlan was a little dismayed that this heifer was a little reluctant to leave the confines of the cut out yard, and even more disgruntled when he and his horse parted company as they cantered out the gate.

Andrew did a great job of manoeuvring  his beast around the flat, after a very neat cutout score of 21.  Unfortunately it didn’t go around any of the prescribed pegs to complete the camp draft pattern.

With our social engagements completed for the month of May, I will now be very content to enjoy this little babe and her more noisier siblings in our home environment!
