Back to the school room this week…the days are full with mustering still happening on the fringes, weaners to yard up each night and for the kids and Mum, school to more than fill the in between parts of our day.

Andrew was up early this morning to help Dad yard some cows out of a nearby paddock. He promised (Dad, that is)  to have Andrew in the classroom for Guided Reading at 9.30….rather than tire him out, the early morning canter meant he arrived refreshed and bright eyed for school.
Trouble was, with a late start, we had a relatively late finish. Lucky it was the Science left for the afternoon session. A budding geologist, he is loving the new science materials. A little bush boy with his eyes wide open to the world around us.
He didn’t seem to mind the improvisation of some of the key scientific instruments. iPhone stepping in as a magnifying glass and cheap tupperware as specimen trays…

And a word wall sitting on the verandah!
